Anthony Ayrton - News

  1. I successfully rode and finished the Scott Trial again this year. The day before starting a new job, so was very thankful not to break anything :)

  2. Good day at the enduro today, and 4th place I am happy with, as I havent done much this year, and I must have had a handful of cleans on the extreme route for that.

  3. Havent updated this for a while, but have sold the 2010 Gas Gas Trails bike, and replaced with a new 2011 300cc version.

The Husky has now gone, and had been replaced with a new 2011 Gas Gas also.

Many thanks to Martin at Sandiford Off Road in upgrading me :)

  4. Both bikes are up for sale, as you will have seen - I am looking at other options, GasGas Enduro being one of them, but we shall see, need these to go first.

Havent done much riding lately still, dont want to do to much damage to them whilst trying to sell :o)

See the 'introducing...' page for more updates.

  5. 03.01.2011.... Lucy Ayrton's first day out practising.... aged 6 and 4 months! Pictures on the website.

Santa brought her a little Beta for christmas, plus helmet, Jacket and boots - he even left her a trials top, pants and gloves at nanna & grandads... nice one Santa!

2 hours chasing her around a field, but she has done it well and never stopped smiling, so well worth it!

  6. Well, rode the Bingley Lady Lane trial on New Years Day, not too bad, body held out quite well. Bikes are all up for sale though, and I need to decide what to do then - doctor isnt happy with me riding any more.... well, I think its actually crashing that he's most unhappy with.... I am with him on that one, I must admit :o)

  7. Still not back to riding following my big off at Leisure Lakes. Shoulder still hasnt healed properly, damaged tendons in my chest and cant lift my arm higher than shoulder height, so a bit held back at the moment.

Have been observing trials, and pottering around - it's not the same though, ad hope to be back riding as soon as possible!

  8. A great weekend away at Leisure Lakes ended in a big off 0 mins before the end of the race, another trip to A&E and luckily no broken or chipped bones, just severe bruising to the shoulder bade, ribs, collar bone, neck and head..... ouch!!!!!!!!!

(The Husky looked fine... but I will have to double check once the whiplash wears off)

  14. Been back riding after the broken fingers - both little fingers on both hands - seperate incidents!! and steadily recovering although the first break really isnt healing properly and is way out of line so may need breaking again and re-setting... oh dear!!

Just getting my bike ready for the start of the Scottish Six Days, fingers corssed it will be a good week, both riding wise and weather wise... we shall see!

  15. I have been sidelined for the Christmas period as most of you by now know - I came off the Husky on ice at a race at Barnsley on the 21st December and sliced open my little finger, gauged my arm, smacked my knee again, and worst of all, broke my knuckle, which has been potted for 3 weeks meaning I am unable to ride. My wife and daughters were very happy to hear that I would be spending time at home for a 'proper family Christmas'!

  19. Sunday 6th Sept, Enduro at Burnley;
Not a good result but happy trying out a 250 CRF, which I only collected at 7pm the night before. Not a lot of time to test ride and settle into it, so ninth and seven laps was a finish at least.

  20. Manx 2 Day Trial 2009

OVERALL RESULT: SOLO NATIONAL CLASS, 17th (139 MARKS DROPPED)

I am currently competing in the Manx trial, playing in the rain, had a great ferry crossing in the rough seas! Currently sharing a 4 bed room with Adolf, Wriggy, Darren and John. Results to follow.....

    Riding for Bradford DMC:
    186 - Anthony 187 - Wriggy 188 - John Holdsworth 189 - Darren Mitchell

Saturday: Position 12th (Wriggy 13th) Sunday: Position 17th (Wriggy 10th)

Really bad weather Sunday, and I didnt have a good ride, overall the result shouldn't be too bad though.
